Homemade Pop Tarts

Who doesn't love a good ol' Pop Tart? Grab your kiddos and have fun making these together! Things always seem to taste better when they're homemade and you have fun doing it!

2 pre-made pie crusts

1/2 cup of your favorite jam, plus 1 Tbs for icing

1 Tbs cornstarch

1 cup powdered sugar

1 Tbs whipping cream

Preheat your oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set to the side.

In a small bowl, add the 1/2 cup of jam and the cornstarch. Mix well.

Flour a large surface, and lay out your pie crust. Then roll out both crusts until they are about 11" across. Then cut off about an inch on each side to make about a 9"x 9" square. Then cut the square into three strips across.

Spoon about 1-2 Tbs of the jam onto one side of each of the strips and spread out. Fold the other side over on top of the jam and match up the edges of the dough. Then crimp the two sides together with a fork. Repeat with all the strips.

Move the pop tarts to the baking sheet. Bake for about 15-18 minutes. Once finished baking, allow them to cool completely.

For the icing, whisk together the 1 Tbs of jam, powdered sugar, and cream. Once it reaches an icing glaze consistency, spoon the glaze onto each pop tart.
